2003  NASG American Flyer Commemorative Car

Notes: 22nd car in an annual series of NASG cars begun in 1988
Description:
single dome Union Pacific stainless steel tank car. The tank has a chrome finish with a black base and frame. Print and decoration are black, red, white, yellow and blue. The tank car features a chemical platform and ladders, die cast freight trucks, and oeprating knuckle couplers. Car number is 2203. (Note: Car shown is an O-scale car. American Flyer car varies somewhat form illustration.)

2002  NASG American Flyer Commemorative Car

Description:
triple dome Cook Paint & Varnish Company tank car, red with white print.  Tank car features diecast freight trucks, and operating knuckle couplers.(Car shown is a modified K-Line O-gauge model. NASG Production car is a standard American Flyer style tankcar.)

2001 NASG American Flyer Commemorative Car

Notes: 20th car in an annual series of NASG cars begun in 1988
Description: single-dome GULF tankcar, blue with white print , and orange and white logo.  The tankcar will feature top platform and ladders, diecast freight trucks, and operating knuckle couplers.

21 Century Limited - NASG 2000 National Convention Car

 

Produced by: Pacific Rail Shops
Description: To handle expedited freight, Southern Pacific assigned 40' box cars to " Overnight" service between San Francisco and Los Angeles, but they eventually roamed the system and were used in interchange. The paint scheme is silver sides and roof with black ends and underframe with an orange herald and a red " S" and " P" in Southern Pacific with Overnight also in red. Over 300 cars were painted in this scheme. The car is was produced in three (3) different road numbers - 163066, 163318, and 163324.

1999 NASG American Flyer Commemorative Car

Notes: 18th car in an annual series of NASG cars begun in 1988
Description:
The 1999 car was our first caboose: a red painted illuminated Great Northern caboose, with black and white lettering and GN herald. GN herald appears on sides and ends of car.
